Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team hosted Beşiktaş Icrypex in the 24th week match of the ING Basketball Super League. Our team won the match 90-81 and scored its 20th victory in the league.
Nando De Colo was the scorer with 24 points. Şehmus Hazer 18, Melih Mahmutoğlu 13, Marko Guduric, Devin Booker and Achille Polonara also contributed to the victory with 10 points each.
Our Board Member Sertaç Komsuoğlu also watched the match played at Ülker Sports and Event Hall.
Our team went to the warm-up section with a banner that read “We commemorate all our heroes with respect and mercy on the 107th anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory” in memory of the 107th anniversary of the 18 March Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs’ Day.
Our Team Manager Cenk Renda presented the designs specially prepared for them to Egehan Arna and Kenan Sipahi, who wore our jersey in the past years.
As part of the 21 March Down Syndrome Awareness Day, our Fenerbahce Beko Euroleague One Team participant and our esteemed friend Cem Başer presented the match ball to the head referee Mehmet Karabilecen.
On the other hand, at the end of the third quarter of the match, an announcement was made and a video was played for the 21-26 March Forest Week.
Our team is in spades; Jehyve Floyd, Devin Booker, Metecan Birsen, Nando De Colo, Şehmus Hazer started with five.
Fenerbahce Beko, who entered the match with a 6-2 series, passed the television break 14-10 ahead. The first period, the last part of which was contentious, ended with a 19-19 tie. In the first part of the second period, where the score advantage constantly changed hands, Fenerbahçe Beko was the leading side in the television break with a score of 35-32 (04:03). Performing a great offensive performance after the time-out, our Team was ahead 51-34 in the locker room with the 16-2 streak that De Colo, Polonara and Şehmus scored.
