“There was incredible support today, to both teams. We’ve had great support. Many thanks to them. We are very happy that volleyball is getting so much attention. We also want them to watch good volleyball on the field and leave here happy. It was an enjoyable match. Both sides fought well. Eczacıbaşı was on the field today in a different rotation. Everyone who entered the game did a good job. We fell a little behind in the second set, but we still got the momentum back and helped each other. I think we served well. There was a strong Fenerbahce Opet struggling today. We won the first match, we are happy. The second match will be on Monday. We will play away, we know it will be a tough match, but we are ready as a team and focused on the final. Well done to all my teammates and their hard work. It was a very enjoyable match.”
Naz Aydemir Akyol: Our goal is the trophy and we will set out to win every match
“It was a very enjoyable match for us. I think it was a good match in terms of getting back together and remembering our own identity after we lost the final in Cup Volley. Eczacıbaşı is a very strong team, they put on a very good game today, especially in the absence of their leader, Maja. They pushed us very hard at times. We managed the first two sets, but I can say that we dominated the game in the third and fourth sets. We have one more game to win. We are aware of this. Our goal is to win the trophy and we will set out to win every match without getting into complacency.”
