Our Fenerbahçe Safiport Women’s Basketball Team, which faced ÇBK Mersin Yenişehir Municipality in the final of the Bitci Women’s Turkish Cup, was defeated 58-71. TBF Board Members Şirin Karadeniz and Emine Sporel Özakat presented Fenerbahçe Safiport with the second place medals and the plaque.
M. Kemal Danabas, Member of the Board of Directors responsible for our Women’s Basketball Team, also watched the final game hosted by Mersin.
The Queens of the Crucible started the match played at Servet Tazegül Sports Hall with the five of Olcay Çakır Turgut, Kayla McBride, Alina Iagupova, Tuğçe Canıtez and Elizabeth Williams; They finished the first quarter behind 23-16 and the second quarter behind 41-27. Our Team, which entered the last quarter trailing 58-45, was defeated 58-71 in the match.
