Leaders of change towards empowering women and ensuring gender equality came together at the ‘Egalitarian Stories Summit’ held under the leadership of Milliyet Newspaper.
The summit organized by Milliyet Newspaper at Pera Palas Hotel in partnership with the United Nations Women’s Unit and Shopsa was carried out by the United Nations Women’s Unit (UN Women) with the support of Tüpraş in order to ensure gender equality in sports and through sports and to empower women and girls in 2018. Fenerbahce Sports Club Human Resources Director Önder Birgül and Fenerbahçe Sports Club Affiliated Companies Human Resources Manager Tuğçe Değer attended to represent our club, which created an important awareness with the HeForShe Movement.
At the event, HeForShe Turkey Coordinator Sinem Aydın made a presentation informing the summit audience about the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) and HeForShe initiatives.
Fatma Kara Şahinbaş, the captain of our Fenerbahçe Women’s Football Team, who participated in this special event with the video she sent to this special event in which they talked about the rise of women from the world of business, art and sports, emphasized the equality struggle of our Club; She also conveyed her messages to the participating institutions.
At the summit; Successful names in many fields such as technology, entrepreneurship, social studies, culture-art, and sports shared their experiences.
