Our former national footballer Naci Erdem said goodbye to his last trip

Naci Erdem, our former national footballer, who worked at Fenerbahçe between 1953 and 1963, said goodbye to his last trip.

The family and relatives of the late Naci Erdem, together with our museum director Alp Bacıoğlu and our former football players attended the funeral ceremony held at the Fatih Mosque in Istanbul.

After the funeral prayer performed after the noon prayer, the body of the deceased Naci Erdem was buried in Topkapı Cemetery.

Wearing our jersey on his back for 10 years, Naci Erdem scored 47 goals in the dark yellow-blue jersey, which he wore 440 times. Erdem also won 2 Istanbul League championships and 2 Turkish League championships with Fenerbahçe.

Naci Erdem was part of our team, the first champion of the National League, which started in 1959 under the current name of Super League, in which Fenerbahçe won the 10th championship of Turkey. Erdem, who also wore the crescent and star jersey 34 times, was part of our national team’s 1954 World Cup squad.

Once again, God’s mercy on Naci Erdem, the important name of Fenerbahçe and Turkish sports; Our condolences to his precious family, loved ones and our entire community.
