After our Fenerbahçe Safiport Women’s Basketball Team beat USK Prague 83-74 in the EuroLeague Women’s Final Four semi-final match and made it to the final for the 4th time, our players evaluated the victory on Fenerbahçe TV.
Brian Hartley: Our team fought very well. Here we have to give Prague credit, they played very good basketball. At one point, they opened up the gap. We showed our character here and hit very important shots. We managed to stay together as a team. We need to be ready on Sunday. We’re looking there now.
Satou Sabally: I am very proud of my team. I have to give credit to the opponent, they are a good team and they fought well, but we showed a very good character as a team and we stood very well. We were able to give them the necessary answer on the field. Now there is the final on Sunday. We need to get ready there. Because we’re not done yet.
Amanza Zahui: Frankly, I don’t know what I’m doing either. Today, playing in front of this fan, playing in this atmosphere, playing in this arena… that is something bigger than us. Our families are in the stands, the people who brought us here, so after all of that combined, we really gave everything we had. We played with all our characters. But I want to repeat: we are not done yet, we have to prepare for Sunday. I promise we will do everything we can. This is my character and personality; I always bring energy. It’s the same in these workouts. I give the same energy in training. I gave this energy all season. Because I love everyone on this team so much. I want everyone to be very successful and achieve their goals. So I’m doing everything I can, and that’s my character.
