Our Secretary General, Burak Çağlan Kızılhan, made a statement because today is the 7th anniversary of the treacherous attack on our team bus carrying our Football A Team on April 4, 2015.
Burak Çağlan Kızılhan, our Secretary General, who was connected to Fenerbahçe Television by phone, emphasized that the perpetrators of this treacherous attack should be revealed without losing a day; ‘This darkness is a darkness that not only Fenerbahçe but also Turkey and our society are exposed to..’ said.
Our Secretary General, Burak Çağlan Kızılhan, spoke as follows:
“I would like to start my speech by conveying my greetings and love to all our members and fans watching us on their screens. Today, as you have mentioned, is one of the turning points in our club’s history. It is the heaviest of the chain of events that Fenerbahce expects justice. July 3, May 12, April 4; they are all part of each other. The perpetrators of the April 4 attack, in which the lives of 39 people were attempted, must be brought to light without losing a single day. There is a dark event, a day that cannot be enlightened. However, this darkness is a darkness that not only Fenerbahçe but also Turkey and our society are exposed to. The conscience of the society should not be hurt further on this issue. If the fault of the 39 people there is to carry the Fenerbahçe jersey and the coat of arms, this issue is of interest to the millions who carry this coat of arms in their hearts. Look, for this incident, we said ‘we should have prevented this injustice, this unscrupulousness sooner than a fire’ to explain the gravity of the situation. Luckily, 39 lives escaped death! Well, what if it was the other way around? Can we imagine the terrible events that our country will experience in such a situation? What will our society live on? What about its reflection on the world agenda or what will be written in history? In such a situation, who would account for what would happen, and how? For this reason, we expect everyone concerned to ask these questions and think about their answers. At that time, they will understand better, much better, that even one day of 7 years is too late, not to conclude this issue. It is unacceptable that those who try to do this just because this incident did not happen today go unpunished. Fenerbahce certainly does not accept this. From our members to our associations, from our athletes to our professionals and of course with all our fans, we are all at the same point. We, as Fenerbahçe Sports Club, want and expect this matter to be concluded, the perpetrators to be found and the necessary punishments.
Finally, we do not accept that those who try to commit this terrible event, which is intended for the inner peace of our country, roam freely in the streets.“
