Our world record holder Olympic swimmer Emre Sakçı received the ‘Athlete of the Year’ award

Our world record holder national swimmer Emre Sakçı was deemed worthy of the ‘Athlete of the Year’ award at the Istanbul Okan University 2021 Sports Awards, determined by the votes of Istanbul Okan University students and staff.

At the ceremony held at Bekir Okan Culture, Art and Congress Center and awarding the names who contributed to the development of Turkish sports; Many awards were distributed, including the ‘honorary award of the year’, ‘athlete of the year’, ‘football player of the year’, ‘referee of the year’, ‘sports program of the year’, ‘sports commentator of the year’.

Emre Sakçı, who was selected as the ‘Athlete of the Year’, received the award from Burak Kartal, the Coach of our Swimming Branch, as he was in the camp in İzmir. Our athlete Emre Sakçı, who attended the ceremony with a video, thanked everyone who deemed him worthy of this award.
