Fenerbahçe played a friendly match with Ukrainian team Shakhtar Donetsk as part of the “Shakhtar Donetsk Global Tour”, which was launched to attract attention and contribute to the theme of peace. Ülker Stadium Fenerbahçe Şükrü Saracoğlu Sports Complex hosted this special match. Enner Valencia scored the only goal of the match for our team in the 25th minute.
Our General Secretary Burak Çağlan Kızılhan presented a plaque to Shakhtar Donetsk CEO Serhii Palkin before the match. A minute’s silence was also observed before the match.
In order to raise awareness of peace with the universal power of football, the proceeds from this game played with the theme “Football for Peace” will be used for the innocent and child victims of war.
